Practical and spacious, simple but not plain was the brief for this new kitchen and with low ceilings and limited natural light it was important not to over-crowd the room with wall cabinets.
The Client had already chosen the Classic English design from our portfolio when they chose Baker & Baker for the project, however, they were undecided on the finish. A love of real wood, they wanted the grain to stand out. We suggested Pippy Oak renowned for it’s prominent knotty pattern which they happily agreed to.
So as not to overpower, the central island was painted in Fired Earth ‘Turkish Blue’.
A new Everhot range oven was fitted into the existing fireplace and later finished with hand made tiles. Granite worktops of Kashmir Gold sit very well with the pippy oak cabinets.
