Some spaces just seem to fall into place, and this is one of them.

A Suffolk cottage with an open kitchen diner that’s full of the quirks and character of an old property.

The kitchen sits two steps down from the rest of the room, so one of the challenges was finding a way to bring the two levels together. The island provided the answer, subtly bridging the change in height and creating a natural connection between the kitchen and the living area beyond.

This kitchen proves you don’t need acres of space to fit in all the good bits! There’s a worktop breakfast cupboard, a deep butler sink, pan drawers and a rather lovely basket store for eggs and vegetables.  And still room for a rather fabulous yellow Bertazzoni range oven.

As a guide, a kitchen of this size and specification would typically be in the region of £30k.
