Most lofts are little more than out-of-reach storage, awkward to access and tricky to use in any meaningful way. But every so often, there’s a space that offers more and becomes a genuinely useful part of the home. This particular project was one of those rare opportunities.

With a quaint staircase leading up, the loft opens into a bright, comfortable room with a charming dormer window. It already felt inviting but just needed some well designed cabinetry to store everything neatly away.

Cabinets run along two walls and across the end, following the eaves to make use of every bit of space.

No longer a space you dread climbing up to, but somewhere you no longer mind rummaging around in.
