The Return of the Drinks Cabinet | A Touch of Seventies Glamour

It’s 7pm on a Friday.
The work emails are done, friends are on their way and the kitchen starts to shift from hardworking family hub to somewhere a little more relaxed. The weekend starts here.
The concertina doors slide open and the evening’s entertainment begins. Glass shelves catch the light. Reflections bounce from the mirrored back panel onto favourite bottles lined up and ready for cocktail hour.
There’s something about a drinks cabinet that changes the mood of a room. The clink of ice in a glass, choosing a record to play, lingering around the kitchen long after dinner has finished.
Perhaps that’s why drinks cabinets are enjoying a resurgence. A nod to the 70s, memories of parents mixing a Snowball, and a reminder that some traditions are worth bringing back.
